Bob Brentin

Improving the circumstances of those living with cancer more bearable and finding ways to mitigate the pain and connect with others is something that Bob finds extremely valuable. It is what drives him to continue his work on the Gryt Health Board.

Bob is originally from Poland, Ohio, and had the opportunity to reside in Georgia, Connecticut, and Texas. He currently resides in Midland, Michigan. He has three adult daughters who are thriving. Bob states that his support comes from his faith, family, and friends. 

Bob holds degrees in chemical engineering from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and business from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Bob has spent his entire career at Dow Chemical and assisted them in developing new products and establishing them in the marketplace. 

As most people have had their lives impacted by cancer since it is a disease with such a widespread impact, so has Bob. Though he is not a survivor or caretaker, Bob lost his father to cancer at a late stage and in old age. 

Bob volunteers as a board member because Gryt Health is such a dynamic company with amazing people working in a very interesting area. Founder David Craig caught Bob’s attention and he really wanted to follow where Gryt Health’s vision took the company. He says that he does whatever he can to help make that vision a reality. 

With Bob’s scientific and business background, he was not good at using his voice so he joined Toastmasters to learn how to use his voice to connect with others but also to learn how to listen really well. He says there is a lot to learn and share both in listening and speaking. Bob shared that there are so many diseases and maladies that face humans that cancer really stands out since it is so widespread and has so many sub-diagnoses and degrees of difficulty. He was drawn to it because it was very complex and evokes so much fear in so many that he wanted to get to know more about it. 

Bob truly enjoys seeing the progress being made by Gryt Health through its growth and concept development. As a new business development professional, he finds it exciting to see Gryt Health take the concept of supporting the entire oncology sphere from diagnosis to industry organizations in working towards improving lives, health, treatment options, support, and quality of life from the conception of that idea, the launch of the company and new expansions and programs and then into the growth of the company and it’s programs. 

Bob is a great fit for the Board because he enjoys looking for new ways to continue to grow the business and developing the resources to make that happen. He enjoys working with the Gryt Health staff and seeing the progress the organization continues to make as a work in progress. He feels that once Gryt Health has a more established platform many other health conditions will be able to benefit from the type of services and resources we offer and that it could serve as a model for other human conditions. 

Bob truly believes that Gryt Health is going to be a significant and successful company that will make a difference in the lives of many people. He is sure that Gryt Health will be a widely recognized company in the healthcare industry.

Bob enjoys bike riding, running, and tennis – things that get him out and about while having fun. 

Thrilled to be part of such an exciting group and great company with amazing people, Bob enjoys working with Gryt Health immensely.
