Emotional Wellbeing and Resilience in the Face of Cancer

Getting through cancer is messy. After your scars heal, how do you even start to put yourself back together emotionally? A relationship with the unexpected, cancer can cause a host of mental issues including anxiety, depression and even PTSD. While you are the expert of your own experience, no one can be expected to navigate cancer alone. Through identification of your needs, and individual or group support, however, emotional and mental hardships can be lessened. This session discussed how the trauma of a cancer diagnosis and treatment can impact you and your caregivers emotionally and offered tangible resources to address ongoing issues of concern.
